The uncommon value of present moment

As human beings on this planet, we are always keen on making ourselves happy. I don't think there are arguments for that. The basic method which most of us use is, making some future goals and trying to achieve them. I too am a fan of this process. But don't you think that some of us are causing too much pain and suffering to our inner selves during this “Go and get it” process?

One of the main reasons for this troublesome scenario is that people lose their present moment awareness during that hustling period. when this happens most people tend to battle with their faults and the defeats instead of being grateful and happy about the journey that they have come along so far.

There is nothing wrong with striving to improve our life situations. We can improve our life situations but we cannot improve our lives. life is primary. The mistake lies in using “striving nature” as a substitute for the feeling of life, for Being. The only point of access for that is the Now.

I think we should all understand that our life moments, achievements are like moving posts. Nothing stays permanent and being aware of our inner selves and surrounding environment, eventually directs us towards present moment happiness.
